Thomsen studied at the Danish School of Design, now having his own successful Design Studio in the Danish city of Aarhus.

The designs we surround ourselves with must be able to support everyday life. The best design offers this help on a daily basis, without the user ever considering it's functionality, only it's the beauty."

Sørig is known for creating objects that unite clarity, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty. Rooted in the Danish design tradition, his work explores the balance between function and feeling, objects that serve a purpose, yet invite reflection and a sense of calm.

With a background in Danish design and extensive experience collaborating with leading Nordic brands, Henrik’s practice is guided by a respect for materials, a commitment to sustainability, and an eye for refined detail. His furniture reveals a dialogue between precision, structure and poetry.

Through his work, Henrik Sørig Thomsen continues to shape the evolving language of contemporary Danish design: simple, timeless, and deeply human.
