Our white glove delivery service gives you total peace of mind, ensuring that your Danish furniture is transported and assembled with total care.

Lead Times

The amount of time specified under 'Handmade for you in' is the estimated lead time for the product given to us by the supplier based on current manufacturing times for that product. This is an estimate in weeks predicting how long it will take the brand to manufacture your item(s). Lead times on made-to-order furniture  are for UK mainland deliveries. Europe and worldwide destinations will take longer. The lead times are provided to us by the manufacturer and take into consideration the ordering process, construction and quality checks. The lead time shown is from the time of ordering to when the item is dispatched from Denmark, at which point you will be contacted. We typically received items 1-2 weeks after they are dispatched from Denmark. If an item is delayed due to production delays or for unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you as soon as this information is made available. For orders with more than one item, the item with the longest lead time will dictate the lead time for an order. Please note, in the occasion of an unforeseen supply chain/producer issue which causes a significant delay, you will be eligible for a credit note/discount code off your next order. Shekåbba does not accept liability for any loss due to late delivery.

Please note: All international orders are Delivered At Place (DAP) this means duties and taxes are paid by the customer. All orders will be subject to pay duties & taxes at their countries rate upon import to their customs office via the delivery company. Each country has their own percentage rate, this information can be found at your local customs office and will be payable along with the customs duty due upon import.


All international deliveries are delivered Kerbside/door-to-door, lifting the furniture inside and assembly is not available for international deliveries. After your delivery quote is received, to complete your order with us, please let us know you would like to proceed. We will then send you an invoice, once this has been paid, your furniture will go into production.


International Customs

Times taken for customs checks and invoicing for fees and VAT varies from country to country and we cannot estimate an average time for this. Our premium worldwide delivery is fully insured against damage or loss.


We will notify you via email before dispatch, once your order has been made and is safely with us in the UK. Full insurance against damage or loss is included with our premium worldwide delivery and your order will be trackable upon dispatch from us.  Please note customs clearance procedures and payment can delay international deliveries, please ensure your details are correct and you are aware of the taxes and duties owed.  All worldwide deliveries are delivered door to door, in-house assembly is not currently available. Our international delivery costs are based on your destination and the size & weight of your order. All our international orders are delivered according to the Incoterms® 2024 standards and typically* travel by the Delivered At Place (DAP) term, unless pre-agreed with you at the time of order. *Unless the order is from the USA.

Duties & Taxes for International Deliveries

Please note that from 1st January 2021 all orders travelling outside the UK will be subject to pay VAT at their countries rate upon import. Each country has their own percentage rate, this information can be found at your local customs office and will be payable along with the customs duty due on your order. Please note international deliveries do not include customs & clearance fees, duties, road tax or quarantine and fumigation fees (mainly Australia) which are payable by the customer prior to delivery. Failure to make payment will result in delays (of which Shekåbba cannot be held responsible) and ultimately the return of the goods and further costs to you. Please ensure you are familiar with your countries import rules and regulations. If you are unsure please contact your local customs office for more clarity. 

Delivery Address & Access

Unfortunately we cannot deliver to hotels or public spaces and your goods can only be delivered to a place of residence or business address. If your property is a new build or in an awkward location, please provide accurate directions.

You should be careful to check access to your property, as delivery is on the basis that you have checked the dimensions of each of the furniture ordered and you confirm that the furniture to be delivered will fit through all doorways, stairwells within the area of intended use. We will not accept responsibility for goods that are undeliverable due to insufficient access or for any reason that is not within our reasonable control (including your absence at the arranged time for delivery as notified by us or Atlas of London). You agree to pay our reasonable costs associated with storage and redelivery due to these circumstances arising

Unable To Deliver
All furniture orders have to be signed for in person and cannot be left in a safe place. If our drivers are unable to locate your property using the postcode confirmed, and you do not respond their attempts to contact you by phone, this will be a Failed Delivery and the Failed Delivery Charge will be payable. Such factors may require alternative delivery methods which may incur additional charges. 


All our deliveries are covered by goods in transit insurance.
